August 19

Indian Cave State Park presents Matthew "SITTING BEAR"  Jones - August 19th at 7 pm.  "OTOE-MISSOURIA: The Forgotten Nebraskans"  6pm - 7 pm Buffalo Stew Cookout served with cornbread, drink and desert.  Adults $9.00, Kids 12 & under $6.00.  9:15 pm - Movie at Outdoor Amphitheater - "The Night Sky-America's Total Solar Eclipse".  Park entry permit required.

Shubert Christian Church Fish Fry on Saturday, August 19th.  Serving from 5 - 7 pm, fish, assorted salads and desserts.  Freewill offering.

August 20

Join us for a Cookout on Sunday, August 20th from 5 - 7pm at First United Methodist Church Parking Lot at 1700 Harlan Street.  Serving your choice of Hamburger or Hot Dog, chips, dessert, and drink - Cost $5.00.  Proceeds to to the Girl Scout Troop $20705 silver award project - Renovation of the Ball Park Concession Stand.

August 18 - 21

Solar Eclipse Weekend at Indian Cave State Park.  Join in the fun starting Friday, August 18th through Monday, August 21st.  Purchase a glow-in-the-dark Solar Eclipse t-shirt.

August 25

SNC is "Teaming Up" with the Falls City Booster Club on Friday, August 25th at the Falls City High School parking lot from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm.  Serving hot dogs, polish dogs, beans,  chips and dessert.  $5  donation - Proceeds go to FC Booster Club.

August 26

11th Annual Falls City Area Chamber of Commerce Youth Dodgeball Tournament.  Saturday August 26th - 1:30 pm.  Double Elimination competition fro Grades 2nd thru 8th Grade.  $5 per player - pre registration due by Thursday, August 24th.  Six or more players per team.  Pick up forms at SNC, 110 W. 17th Street or call 402-245-4451.

September 1

SNC is "Teaming Up" with the Sacred Heart Home & School on Friday, September 1 at the Falls City High School parking lot from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm.  Serving hot dogs, chili dogs, polish dogs, beans, chips & desserts.  $5 donation  - Proceeds to Sacred Heart Home & School Association.

Richardson County Museum

Richardson County Museum - 1401 Chase St.  Falls City.  Museum is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturdays from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.  Tours can be scheduled by appointment. New artifacts received from a distance as well as local treasures.

Breastfeeding Support Group

Free - weekly on Wednesdays - 10:30 am to 11:30 am at Community Medical Center.  For more information please contact Sara Rue RN, CBE at 402-245-6571

Humboldt Community Thrift Store

Humboldt Community Thrift Store is located at 701 4th St in Humboldt.  Open:  Monday 4 - 7 pm,. Friday, 9- 3 pm, Saturday 9 - noon.  Sponsored by the Humboldt Lions Club.  For more information call 402-862-2330.

Family Night at the Library

Inviting families to join us on Thursday evenings for some old-fashioned fun.  Activity stations for stories, games, projects, adventure and some surprises.  .

Clothing Closet

First and third Tuesday of each month from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the First Brethren Church, 1902 Lane St. Clothing only, no misc items. Everything is free to anyone who comes in. Donations will be taken on Tuesdays as well.
