Curb Address Painting
Sign up by noon May 18th. The Falls City Cooperative Ministry Youth Group of the 1st Christian Church & Zion United Church of Christ will be painting addresses on curbs. Price is $5.00 for 1 or $7.00 for 2. To get your address painted on your curb, call (402) 245-2398.

Concert at the Arboretum
Help celebrate the Itha Krumme Memorial Arboretum’s 20th anniversary by enjoying the singing of Terry Campbell and free ice cream sundaes provided by Southeast Nebraska Communications! EMS Week 5k Run/Walk
The Falls City Volunteer Ambulance Squad is very excited to announce our very first 5k Fun Run/Walk to celebrate EMS Week. Late registration 8 a.m., start time, 9 a.m. at Stanton Lake, Falls City. Wilderness Falls Ribbon Cutting
11:00 a.m. at 31st & Barada. The Wilderness Falls senior housing project is complete and they are holding a ribbon cutting including lunch and providing the public an opportunity to tour a two-bedroom unit.

May Blood Drive at Prichard Auditorium
On the 30th the hours are 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm and on the 31st from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. We will doing a Battle of The Badges with the Rural and City Fire Depts. Christ Lutheran Church, 2310 Barada St, 5:00-7:00 pm. Free-will donation. Taco Toppings of your choice. Homemade salads and desserts. Proceeds to go towards the Radio Ministry of Christ Lutheran Church Sunny 101.3 FM Sundays at 9:30 am.

Edwin S. Towle III Memorial Golf Tournament
The tournament will be held at the Falls City Golf Club on Saturday June 9th. Shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. This will be a 3 person scramble (Men, Women, Mixed), 18- hole golf tournament. The cost will be $50 per person which includes green fees, mulligan & lunch. There are a limited number of teams, so contact our office to sign up at 402-245-4451 and ask for Debbie Witt or Chuck Whitney.
The goal of this event is to "Give Back" to a Local Charity of Your Choice. Team's entry fee will be donated to a Local Charity of their choice in Falls City and the surrounding area.

Vacation Bible School
A community Vacation Bible School will be held June 11-15, 2012 at the Shubert Christian Church. Churches taking part are: Barada United Methodist, Nemaha Christian, Nemaha Methodist, Prairie Union Baptist, Shubert Christian and Stella Community. Co-directors are Pastor Gene Rowell and Fayrene Kuker. Classes will be held for children 3 years of age to those who have completed 6th grade this year. VBS will start at 8:30 each morning and conclude at 11:30. The theme is "Sonrise National Park" by Gospel Light Publishing Co. Approximately, 4,300 invitations to the Falls City High School Alumni Association’s annual dinner/business meeting were mailed to alumni on Thursday.
The event will be held on Sunday, June 24, at Prichard Auditorium.
